DCG Cao Ke Attends the Convocation at PTUT

    On March 20, Deputy Consul General Cao Ke was invited to attend the first convocation of Punjab Tianjin University of Technology(PTUT). Governor of Punjab and Chancellor H.E. Baligh-Ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor Abdul Sattar Shakir, Punjab Industries and Commerce Secretary Ehsan Bhutta, PBIT CEO Jalal Hassan attended.   

    

    H.E. Baligh-Ur-Rehman highly praised the Pakistan-China traditional friendship, and said that China is Pakistan’s time-tested and most trustworthy friend, and has given strong support to Pakistan in difficult times, especially played a key role in helping Pakistan overcome energy shortage when Pakistan was facing a severe energy crisis in 2013. It has been 10 years since the launch of the CPEC projects, which has effectively contributed to the socio-economic development of the region. With the close cooperation in education between China and Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz (then Chief Minister of Punjab) facilitated the signing of a MoU between Punjab and three universities in Tianjin to jointly establish PTUT. It was believed that PTUT would continue to deepen its industrial linkages and make greater contributions to the economic and industrial development of Pakistan.
