On December 15, 2022, Chinese Consulate General Lahore held a seminar with representatives of Chinese enterprises in the Consular area to study and discuss the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Deputy Consul General Cao Ke presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 10 representatives of overseas Chinese community and enterprises, Chief of Political Section Du Yue, Consul Yan Yang and Consul Ji Yunqiang attended.

    Participants of the meeting said that the 20th National Congress was held at a major historical juncture when the Chinese people have fulfilled the First Centenary Goal and are embarking on the new journey to accomplish the Second Centenary Goal, pointing the way forward for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The Chinese compatriots in Pakistan deeply feel that the recent years have witnessed the increasing close interaction between China and Pakistan in various fields and the deepened people-to-people contact. What Chinese people have achieved win admiration from the world. Chinese nationals and enterprises in the Consular area will consciously and thoroughly study and understand the spirit of the 20th National Congress, serve as a bridge between the two countries, serve our compatriots, and make due contributions to deepening the ironclad friendship between China and Pakistan.

    Deputy Consul General Cao Ke pointed out that the 20th National Congress emphasized the need to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization, which is an irreversible historical process and will provide new options for mankind to achieve modernization. The Congress insisted on maintaining world peace, promoting common development and the building of a community of shared future for mankind, fully reflecting the people-centered philosophy and global vision of the CPC. The CPEC is a model for the Chinese and Pakistani people to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, and to promote the building of a China-Pak community of shared future. The smooth implementation of the CPEC cannot be achieved without the joint efforts of the Chinese embassy and consulates in Pakistan, Chinese enterprises and Chinese community in Pakistan. This year, the Consulate General has thoroughly implemented the instructions of the Party Central Committee, made every effort to ensure the safety of Chinese enterprises and nationals in Pakistan, continued to promote various government departments in Punjab province to optimize the business environment and effectively protected the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese nationals and enterprises. In the future, the Consulate General will further study, publicize and implement the spirit of the CPC 20th National Congress, actively promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields, practice the principle of “People First”, serve Chinese enterprises and community, and continue to build a closer China-Pakistan community of shared future in the new era.
