On August 10, Deputy Consul General Cao Ke visited the headquarters of Punjab Special Protection Unit (SPU) and met with Deputy Inspector General of Police and SPU Director Munir Ahmad. Head of SPU Lahore Safdar Watto and Administration Chief Zhao Fushan of the Consulate General attended the meeting.
    Munir Ahmad warmly welcomed DCG Cao and briefed him in details on the working mechanism of SPU and specific measures to enhance security protection. DCG Cao thanked SPU for its unremitting efforts to protect Chinese nationals and institutions in the Punjab province and said that creating a safer business environment would play an important and positive role in promoting cooperation in various fields including the CPEC projects. The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing exchanges and cooperation regarding security.
