ACG Cao Ke Attends the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Celebration of China's National Day

On October 4th , Acting Consul General Cao Ke attended the reception held by Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI)  to celebrate China's National Day. President of LCCI Kashif Anwar, President of Pakistan Tax Bar Association Rana Munir Hussain, Commercial Consul Yan Yang, Vice President of Pakistan (China) Shandong Chamber of Commerce Cheng Xiaonong, Vice President of Pakistan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chen Qianjiang, and Director of Pakistan Chinese Federation He Yubing and others attended.


On behalf of the Consulate General, Acting Consul General Cao Ke thanked  LCCI for organizing the reception, presented the latest issue of “Diplomatic Focus” to the Chamber, introduced the great achievements of New China in the 74 years since its founding and the fruitful results of the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and focused on the white paper, "A Global Community of Shared Future: China's Proposals and Actions". He pointed out that the white paper is the first important document that systematically elaborates the ideological connotation and vivid practice of the concept of building a community with shared future of mankind, which can help the international community more comprehensively understand the far-reaching significance of the concept of a global community of shared future, and promote countries to join hands to build a better world. He pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, and the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held this month; at the same time, this year also marks the 10th anniversary of the launching of CPEC. Not long ago, Special Representative of President Xi Jinping and Vice Premier of the State Council He Lifeng, visited Pakistan and signed a series of agreements to promote the construction of CPEC, and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr. Naqvi, also wished that the Up-gradation and Dualization of the ML-1 would be started as soon as possible when he came to our Consulate to congratulate on China's National Day. We believe that with the joint efforts of China and Pakistan, the construction of CPEC will continue to improve its quality and upgrade to a new level. The Consulate General of China looks forward to LCCI’s continuing role as a bridge, organizing member enterprises to actively participate in China International Import Expo, Canton Fair and other trade fairs to help deepen the cooperation between our two countries over economic and trade exchanges, and contributing to the new stage of China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation towards high-quality development.


On behalf of the LCCI, the President Kashif Anwar extended his warmest congratulations to the Chinese government and people, applauded the achievements and advancements that China has made, which served as an inspiration to other nations across the globe. He said that the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China began in 1951 which brought two countries very close as dependable strategic allies and trustworthy neighbours. The enduring friendship between Pakistan and China is a cornerstone of bilateral foreign policy, which is based on mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision for social and economic prosperity, and CPEC has added great value to these mutual ties, promoting the rapid development of infrastructure construction in Pakistan and laying a solid foundation for Pakistan-China economic and trade cooperation. LCCI is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the Consulate General and other relevant commercial chambers of Punjab Overseas Chinese to write a new chapter for the "Iron-core friendship" between Pakistan and China.
