CG Zhao Shiren Attends China National Day Celebration at Punjab Institute of Language, Arts & Culture

On October 26, at the invitation of the Punjab Institute of Language, Arts & Culture, Consul General Zhao Shiren attended a cultural event to celebrate China’s National Day. Punjab Education Minister Mansoor Qadri, Center Director Benish Fatima Sahi, and some overseas Chinese in Lahore were also present.

     Consul General Zhao congratulated the institute on the successful event, saying that over the past 74 years since the founding of New China, the Communist Party of China has united and led people of all ethnic groups across the country to work with one heart and one mind in a painstaking struggle, and has made great achievements in the fight against poverty and the nation building and the march towards modernization. China is writing a new chapter in its development and national rejuvenation.    

     Prime Minister Kakar was invited to attend the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation last week and the visit achieved fruitful results. Bilateral people to people exchanges and cooperation continue to deepen, and this cultural event has injected a new momentum into the understanding between our people and traditional friendship between the two countries.

Mansoor said that Pakistan-China friendship is deeply rooted in people's hearts. Various cooperation including people-to-people exchanges and the CPEC are faring well. Punjab government is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Consulate General to contribute to the traditional friendship between Pakistan and China.
