CG Zhao Shiren Attends Seminar on BRF

    On October 29, Consul General Zhao Shiren addressed a seminar organized by the Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR) on the theme of “The 3rd BRF: Benefits to Pakistan and Global Shared Community”. Over 40 participants including Minister for Industry and Agriculture, Punjab S. M. Tanveer and professors, experts and scholars of various universities in Lahore were also present.

    Consul General Zhao said that the 3rd BRF successfully concluded in Beijing with the participation of representatives from 151 countries and 41 international organizations and achieved fruitful results. The Forum opened a new phase of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, put forward an ambitious vision to realize global modernization through joint efforts, and announced eight-point actions, which provided new opportunities for countries around the world to develop and modernize together, and pushed China-Pakistan relations to a new height. President Xi Jinping had a cordial meeting with Prime Minister Kakar. China and Pakistan signed 20 agreements and MoUs, injecting new impetus into the bilateral relations and the CPEC. The Consulate General is ready to work with all sectors in Punjab to actively implement the consensus of the two leaders and the outcomes of the Forum in a bid to promote the high-quality China-Pakistan community of shared future.

    Tanveer and the participating experts and scholars spoke highly of the Forum’s outcomes, praised the “Belt and Road” initiative, and anticipated more fruitful results of China-Pakistan Friendship and CPEC.
