On November 8, Consul General Zhao Shiren was invited to attend a round table conference on “High-quality CPEC Development”. The event was attended by DG NIMA Vice Admiral (R) Ahmed Saeed, Health Minister of Punjab Javed Akram, Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik, CEO of The Daily CPEC Saud Faisal Malik and others.

    In his speech, Consul General Zhao introduced the significance and fruitful results of the 3rd BRF, and highlighted the economic and social achievements of the CPEC over the past decade. CG Zhao said Prime Minister Kakar’s recent successful visit to China has injected a new impetus to promoting the high-quality development of the CPEC. On the occasion, he also refuted the so-called “debt trap” regarding the CPEC.

    Experts and Scholars attending the conference spoke highly of the BRF, saying that the CPEC has brought great opportunities for the economic and social development of Pakistan, and the high-quality CPEC development will further promote peace, development and prosperity in Pakistan and the region.
