CG Zhao Shiren Addresses the UNODC-sponsored Training Session for CTD Balochistan

    On December 4, Consul General Zhao Shiren was invited to address the opening ceremony of “Training Session for the Crime Scene Managers of CTD Balochistan” jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan.

    Consul General Zhao appreciated Pakistan’s long-term commitment to the fight against terrorism, saying that terrorism is the common enemy facing humanity and to win this war is vital for Pakistan’s national security, socioeconomic development and the well-being of the people. It also pertains to ensuring the high-quality development of CPEC and achieving the UN 2030 sustainable development goals. China-Pakistan collaboration in fighting terrorism maintains a strong momentum. This training program benefits from the UN Peace and Development Trust Fund, which was financed by the Chinese Government. It once again demonstrates that we Chinese firmly stand by Pakistan.

    The Country Representative Pakistan of UNODC Mr. Milsom thanked China for its support to the UN agencies and hoped that the law enforcement personnel would strengthen their capacity building so as to better combat terrorism and transnational organized crime.
