On December 7th, Consul General Zhao Shiren visited some Chinese enterprises in Punjab including ICBC Lahore Branch, Huawei Lahore Office, Haier Pakistan Branch, etc.. On the occasion, Consul General Zhao greeted the Chinese employees, learnt about security deployment at their residences and was given a briefing about the performance of the enterprises.

Consul General Zhao said that security is the lifeline of enterprises. With the year-end 2023 fast approaching, the security risk of the consular district is on the rise. Every company should beef up safety awareness and improve security measures to protect the safety of employees. It is not easy for Chinese enterprises to “go abroad”, and they are advised to understand Pakistani culture and integrate themselves into the local community while keeping compliance with the regulations to enhance their overseas exposure. Chinese enterprises are welcome to put forward suggestions to help the Consulate General to do a better job in serving them and the overseas Chinese.

Representatives of the participating enterprises thanked the Consulate General for its consideration and expressed that they would balance safety with development better in their future undertaking, actively fulfill their corporate social responsibility and make greater contributions to the local socioeconomic development.
