CG Zhao Shiren Visits FPCCI

On February 27, 2024, Consul General Zhao Shiren visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and had in-depth exchanges on the promotion of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and educational training. FPCCI Regional President Zaki Aijaz, Secretary Punjab Industries Ehsan Bhutta and Chairman of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Sajid Khokhar were also present.

Consul General Zhao Shiren said that FPCCI Regional Office Lahore is the third local business association he was invited to visit after LCCI and PCJCCI, which is of great significance. He said that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners, and the increasingly close and deepening economic and trade cooperation has laid a solid foundation for the development of relations between the two countries. The Consulate General attaches importance to strengthening the communication with the business community in Punjab, and is willing to play its role as a bridge and make more efforts to promote China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation. CG Zhao Shiren emphasized that more actions should be taken to promote cooperation between the private sectors of China and Pakistan, attract more Chinese enterprises to invest in Punjab, and promote the ties between enterprises and chambers of commerce of the two countries, so as to jointly push bilateral economic and trade relations to new height.

CG Zhao Shiren also answered questions from 13 representatives of FPCCI in a warm ambience. The participants said that they benefited a lot from the visit and looked forward to strengthening cooperation with the Consulate General to promote the high-quality development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
