CG Zhao Shiren Meets with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistan

On April 24, Consul General Zhao Shiren met with Interior Minister of Pakistan and former Chief Minister of Punjab H.E. Mohsin Naqvi. They exchanged views on the security situation in Pakistan and the security protection of Chinese citizens in Punjab. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Consul General Cao Ke.

Consul General Zhao congratulated H.E. Mohsin Naqvi on his new posting and appreciated his active role in the investigation of Bisham attack. CG Zhao hoped that he would make more efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan and achieve greater achievements in this regard. CG Zhao thanked H.E. Mohsin Naqvi for his contribution to China-Pakistan friendship and provincial-level exchanges & cooperation during his tenure as chief minister Punjab, and welcomed him as an old friend to visit the Consulate.

H.E. Mohsin Naqvi said that the Pakistani government and the Interior Ministry attach great importance to the security of Chinese friends in Pakistan and would take all necessary measures to strengthen the security of Chinese nationals, institutions and projects. Naqvi recalled with pleasure the close contacts with the Consulate when he was in charge of the Punjab government, and said that he would spare no efforts in promoting the Pakistan-China friendship.
