On 1 September 2026, CG Sun Yan visited the Agri Mall Sargodha and Citrus Research Institute. Mr. Ali Sufian, CEO of the Agri Mall, Dr. Sajid-ur-Rahman, Director General of Citrus Research Institute, attended the event.

  CG Sun Yan inspected the operation of the Agri Mall and spoke highly of its one‑stop comprehensive service model integrating agricultural input supply and technical guidance. The Agri Mall provides a full range of agricultural inputs including farm machinery, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, and deploys agricultural experts to offer training and on-site guidance on modern farming techniques to local farmers. Afterwards, CG Sun Yan proceeded to the Sargodha Citrus Research Institute to look into its scientific research progress in citrus variety improvement, integrated pest and disease control and industrial revitalization. He also inaugurated the “Pest and Disease-resistant Citrus Nursery” and the “Controlled-environment Citrus Growth Chamber”.

  The Pakistani representatives stated their willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in fields such as agricultural machinery and agricultural technology.
