On September 14, 2026, Consul General Sun Yan met with Mr. Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Minister of Punjab for Industries, Commerce and Investment. The two sides exchanged views on further deepening China-Pakistan industrial cooperation and strengthening service guarantees for Chinese-funded enterprises in Punjab.

  CG Sun Yan stated that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has entered an “upgraded” new stage of development, with industrial cooperation as the top priority. The Consulate General is willing to work together with the Industries, Commerce and Investment Department to continuously optimize the business environment and facilitate the implementation of more high-quality cooperation projects.

  Mr. Shafay stated that the Punjab Government and the Department of Industries and Commerce attach great importance on Chinese investors' development in Punjab. Chinese enterprises serve as a vital force driving Punjab's economic growth, bringing advanced technology, management expertise and job opportunities. Pakistan always regards its Chinese friends as the most trustworthy brothers and will provide full support to Chinese enterprises investing and operating in Punjab, ensuring that Chinese enterprises and personnel can operate and develop with peace of mind.
