On September 15, 2026, Consul General Sun Yan held discussions with a Pakistani delegation of think tanks and media from Punjab on their visit to China. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of Government College University, and other participants attended the meeting.

  CG Sun Yan congratulated the delegation on its successful visit to China. He noted that think tanks and media serve as an important bridge to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries and consolidate popular support for bilateral ties. It is essential to focus on the implementation of China-Pakistan high-level consensus, high-quality development of CPEC, achievements of practical bilateral cooperation, and the tangible gains of the Pakistani people. By effectively telling the story of China-Pakistan friendship, they will continuously consolidate the public and social foundation of bilateral relations.

  Members of the delegation thanked the Chinese side for the warm reception. They noted that through field visits and in-depth exchanges, they gained firsthand experience of the vivid practice of Chinese modernization and deepened their understanding of China. They expressed their readiness to carry forward the traditional Pakistan-China friendship, present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China, and promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between think tanks and media of the two countries.
