On September 16, 2026, Consul General Sun Yan attended the inauguration ceremony of the Daily CPEC Studio and visited Rashid Latif Khan University. Prof. Dr. Saeed-ul-Hassan Chishti, Pro Vice Chancellor of the university, and Mr. Saud Faisal Malik, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Daily CPEC, were present at the event.

  CG Sun Yan congratulated the studio on its establishment. He noted that the media serves as a bridge linking countries and cultures, and encouraged Pakistani media outlets to actively report on China-Pakistan relations and cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and tell the stories of friendship between the two countries. The Consulate General of China stands ready to facilitate China-Pakistan media cooperation, boost exchanges and mutual learning between news organizations of both countries, and jointly tell the stories of China-Pakistan cooperation well.

  Prof. Dr. Chishti and Mr. Malik thanked CG Sun Yan for attending the inauguration. They stated that the studio will commit itself to objective coverage of Pakistan-China cooperation, nurture young journalism talents, and contribute to deepening the friendship between the two countries.
