The Consulate General in Lahore officially opened on September 30, 2015. The consular district is Punjab Province of Pakistan (except Rawalpindi). Punjab Province is one of the important provinces in Pakistan, with a population of over 100 million, an area of a quarter of Pakistan’s land area and contributes over 50% of its GDP. Lahore is the capital of Punjab Province and the second largest city in Pakistan. It has a long history, splendid culture and a population of more than 10 million. It is renowned as the “City of Gardens” and the “Heart of Pakistan.”

China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. Our friendship has stood the test of time and is deeply rooted in the hearts of our people. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Pakistan relations continue to develop at a high level, with continuous deepening of cooperation across various fields. Numerous departments and localities in China have engaged in friendly exchanges and cooperation with Punjab and Lahore. Chinese enterprises actively participate in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, contributing to Punjab’s economic development and industrial upgrading. Significant achievements have been made in areas such as energy, infrastructure, industrial parks, and agricultural modernization, making important contributions to the improvement of people’s livelihood and sustainable socio-economic development.

The Consulate General in Lahore is dedicated to advancing the ironclad friendship between China and Pakistan, strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchanges, enhancing mutual trust and understanding, and deepening economic and trade cooperation and exchanges in various fields. As the fourth Consul General, I am fully committed to working with my team to fully implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of our two countries, vigorously promote the high-quality development of the upgraded version 2.0 of CPEC, and actively foster practical cooperation between China and Punjab Province in various sectors. We will continue to uphold the principle of “Diplomacy for the People,” providing high-quality and efficient consular services and protection for Chinese nationals in the consular district. We will faithfully fulfill our duties, act with a sense of responsibility, and strive to achieve more practical outcomes in China-Pakistan exchanges and cooperation that benefit the people of both countries. We will work tirelessly to consolidate and develop the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and build an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
